A practical starting path for NIST AI RMF work

Use existing Cyhornet tools to organize AI ownership, inventories and risk decisions. These products use loose framework alignment, not a formal NIST crosswalk or a conformity claim.

Choose one route—avoid buying overlapping tools by default

$99 · Build a starter program

The AI Governance Starter Kit brings together a policy, charter, risk register, system inventory, roles and RACI, intake workflow, 30-60-90 roadmap and board briefing. It includes risk-register and inventory resources; review the contents before also buying the standalone workbook.

$59 · Focus on inventory and risk

The standalone AI Risk Register & Inventory Workbook includes seven tabs for inventory, risk scoring, treatment, owners and dashboard reporting, with loose NIST AI RMF function references.

Use the framework functions to organize conversations

  1. Govern: clarify decision rights and accountable owners using the starter kit’s charter and RACI.
  2. Map: record AI systems, purposes, data and ownership in an inventory.
  3. Measure: document likelihood, impact and residual risk using the workbook’s scoring approach.
  4. Manage: assign treatments and review dates, then revisit progress.

This is a suggested working sequence, not an exhaustive implementation of the NIST AI RMF. Kit and workbook mappings are navigation aids, not independently validated crosswalks. Examples must be replaced with your organization’s information.

Before adopting the templates

Have appropriate legal, privacy, security and business stakeholders review your scope and decisions. These are downloadable resources, not a hosted monitoring service. Digital-product licences restrict redistribution.

Templates and readiness support only. Not legal advice, an audit or an attestation. No compliance or report outcome is guaranteed. Your organization remains responsible for control decisions, implementation and evidence.
